The Quotable Cheryl Cole - the Geordie goddess and X Factor judge who has nailed it.

The Quotable Cheryl Cole ... Geordie goddess, pop princess and X Factor judge who has nailed it.

Cheryl Cole (née Tweedy born in Newcastle Upon Tyne - on this day 30 June - in 1983) is an English singer with Girls Aloud, as well as being a songwriter, actress, dancer, model, and TV talent judge on The X Factor.

Twice voted 'Sexiest Women in the World' by FHM magazine in 2009 and 2010, Cheryl found fame with Popstars spawned girl band Girls Aloud recording a string of number one hits including: Sound of the Underground, I'll Stand by You, Walk This Way and The Promise. As a solo singer, Cheryl has had success with titles such as: 3 Words, Fight For This Love and Parachute.

She married England soccer star Ashley Cole in 2006 and Cheryl filed for divorce in May 2010. Since then she has been romantically linked with Dancing With the Stars professional dancer Derek Hough.

In 2009, Cheryl became the face of L'Oréal and signed a reported five million pound deal to 'author' five romantic novels HarperCollins.

To celebrate the life and lifestyle of Cheryl Cole here is a choice selection of quotations by and about her ...

Quotes by Cheryl ...

"Sometimes I just feel like I need a chocolate bar. I don't deny myself anything."

"I tend to shop online ... mostly online to be honest because I actually feel the whole thing of shopping is actually really stressful. Just the lighting in dressing rooms makes you depressed."

"There's not another better feeling that you could have over being an inspiration to someone else. I love that feeling of inspiring other women."

"If Sex And The City said they wanted me to be in their movie, I'm there. My PA reckons I'm half Carrie half Charlotte. Not sure if that's a good thing or not."

"I was 15 when I lost my virginity, but I made my boyfriend wait three months, so I am really proud of myself for that. The thought of being intimate with someone you don't know really freaks me out. I think men should earn that intimacy."

"There was a moment in time just after Girls Aloud took a break where I thought, 'Do I do a solo record, or do I start a family?' "

Quotations about Cheryl ...

"The poor man’s Posh."
The Independent (2006)

"Some girls you look at and think, 'Damn, you shouldn't look that good'. Cheryl is one of them. She has this quality that turns powerful men into giggly schoolboys. Any guy that ends up with her will be lucky. It might not be a man. I'd take her out on a date and she knows it."
Fergie
"Cheryl is now so skeletal I wonder her neck can bear the weight of those enormous false eyelashes and copious hair extensions: every week during the X Factor, I’ve waited on tenterhooks for the moment her head would, finally, crash on to the judges’ table."
Liz Jones in The Daily Mail (2008)

"Cheryl Cole, tearful nice-cop of Saturday evening TV and - since the kiss-and-tell stories involving husband Ashley - Britain's favourite wronged woman."
Tom Ewing in The Guardian (2009)

"Even before she performed Fight For This Love on The X Factor, Cheryl Cole's vocal limitations were in danger of overshadowing her solo ambitions. However, as Madonna, Kylie and Britney have all shown over the years, there's a lot more to pop greatness than simply hitting the right notes. With sales of her 3 Words album already topping 300,000, Cole has - to use one of her favourite X Factor expressions - pretty much 'nailed it' so far."
David Balls on DigitalSpy.com (2009)

"The throbbing 3 Words had a hint of Madonna’s Ray Of Light, the outfits a definite dash of Kylie. If Cole - or simply Cheryl, as she will surely soon be known - can sell herself as a hybrid of those two pillars of pop, Ashley can have the house."
Lisa Verrico in The Times (2010)
